Pacific Seafood Maintenance Electrician in Warrenton, Oregon

Summary: 

The Maintenance Electrician position is responsible for acting as a subject matter expert as a qualified Industrial Electrician: troubleshooting, installation and documenting the electrical and control needs of facility switch gear, breaker panels, lighting, and process equipment in an industrial environment. This position would be directly responsible for maintaining all plant electrical needs and assisting maintenance teams with production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Repair:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national regulations.

  • Perform emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.

  • Use test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues (Multimeter, Megger, thermography, etc.).

  • Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery

  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photo electric devices

  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical maintenance and repair issues, demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills and technical expertise.

  • Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.

  • Develop and implement preventive electrical maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.

  • Provide training and guidance to apprentice electricians (when applicable).

    1. Communication and Collaboration:
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to foster collaboration and alignment on maintenance priorities and objectives.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for electrical technical support and expertise, providing guidance and assistance to the Processing Division as needed.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, and cleanup work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.

  • Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

    Required:

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

  • 5 years’ experience as an electrician in an industrial environment, maintenance shop or manufacturing facility.

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson experience with a valid WA/OR license required.

  • Familiarity with high voltage systems and logic controllers.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Ability to use a voltmeter effectively.

    Preferred:

  • Advanced technical certifications or specialized training in relevant fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical).

  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.

    Pay Range:  $27.11 - $37.95 Hourly
