Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair conveyors, legs, PD blowers, milling equipment, and industrial vehicles

• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions

• Estimate repair costs

• Design, implement, and manage maintenance programs

• Record type and cost of maintenance and/or repair work

• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking repair manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints, etc. as necessary

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand and power tools, and reassemble equipment

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate

• Plan with Plant Manager and Director of Plant Operations to meet efficiency and safety targets as well as preventive maintenance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve efficiency

• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the maintenance process

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift

• Strong attention to detail

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
