Experienced Carpenter

Edward Hulme Inc. is a family-owned, third-generation locally-owned business that has been in operation for over 50 years. We offer services to a wide customer base, ranging from Commercial to Residential, and completed all phases of construction.

Edward Hulme Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Carpenter.

DUTIES COULD INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

-Acts as foreman for a 3 to 5 man crew.

-Orders material required for job.

-Coaches, mentors and directs employees at jobsite.

-Receives and interprets work orders, works from design plans, and architectural drawings.

-Erects, installs, or repairs structures and fixtures made of wood and similar materials, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, joists, studding, and rafters; and wood stairways, windows, and doors frames, and hardwood floors.

-Installs cabinets, siding, drywall, and batt or roll insulation.

CANDIDATE MUST:

-Must be able to understand code requirements, architectural drawings, and work orders.

-Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.

-Be able to perform additional tasks to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met.

-Have the physical ability to work under temperature extremes and for extended hours; the standard work shift is 9 hours.

-Be able to follow all company policies and OHSA Regulations for Safe working procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

-High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

-6-10 years related experience, training, or a combination of both.

SCHEDULE: Normal weeks consist of five nine-hour days with Saturdays and Sundays off.

PAY: Starting wage is $25/hour, based on experience.
