ARAMARK Assistant Facilities Manager -Samsung Washington DC - 700 Penn in Washington D.C., District Of Columbia

Job Description

The Asst Facilites Manager is responsible for all facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a critical client facility. The Assistant Manager leads and assists in the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services which support and improve the effectiveness of its primary activities.

The hourly Range for this position ranges from $31.50 - $35.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant?s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an ?at-will position? and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete a daily walk-through of all occupied space to monitor for maintenance requests and other needs.

  • Responsible for performing administrative functions including distributing USPS mail, UPS, FedEx, and DHL package shipments, ordering, and stocking supplies.

  • Operate technology, systems, and software such as, copy/scanners, personal computers, and MS Office

  • Secondary POC to client/site occupants, property manager, sub-contracted services, vendors

  • Assist Facilities Manager in management of direct reports and/or sub-contracted service workers to include/not limited to: maintenance worker(s), day porter(s), A/V tech(s), IT

  • Assist maintaining overall appearance/operation of facility

  • Secondary liaison to building management/security for service calls, systems tests

  • Coordinate off-hours utilities

  • Oversight of day-time porter responsible for light cleaning

  • Complete small/medium scope repair/maintenance in client?s premises in accordance with building rules/regulations (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, AV, Signage, IT).

  • Coordinate large scope repair/maintenance

  • Coordinate post-event site maintenance

  • Coordinate vendor access

  • Control of execution of work, follow-up for quality assurance

Long Description

  • Assist with requisition of office/facility supplies supporting operations

  • Assist with all Domestic/International, special shipping/receiving needs.

  • Support VIP meeting, visit, other requests as directed.

  • Support all other ad-hoc requests as directed.

  • Assist with the Coordination of Events

  • Prepare space for all events, as requested (including relocating furniture)

  • Fulfill, Coordinate, and Inspect status of meetings or conference room set-ups

  • Arrange 3 rd Party Vendors facility access/assist with set ups

  • Assist during events providing assistance when required

  • Ensure all vendors vacate site when event concludes

  • Requisition of event supplies, furniture, etc.

Qualifications

  • Prior administrative experience preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Microsoft applications, including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn maintenance skills, gather data, information, prepare reports.

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Ability to work second/third shift, holidays, weekends as required.

  • Must be able to perform maintenance tasks including: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
