As the Business Analyst Lead, you will be responsible for providing team leadership and business analysis support to CAI customers on small to medium projects

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for the applicable business processes . This position will be full-time and onsite.

What You’ll Do

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for the applicable and approximately, 35 forms and their applicable business processes. Translate these requirements into clear and concise specifications for development team

  • Diagram and model current and desired business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement for the applicable and approximately, 35 forms and their applicable business processes

  • Examine data relevant to the project to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making as applicable for this project

  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, including customers, users, and development teams. Ensure that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows, to guide development and testing

  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed projects, considering technical, financial, and operational factors

  • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact the project's success. Propose mitigation strategies and contingency plans

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that align with business requirements and objectives

  • Assist in the creation of test plans and scenarios. Review and validate test results to ensure the solution meets the specified requirements

  • Facilitate the adoption of new processes, technologies, or systems within the organization. Help manage the change process and address user concerns

  • Monitor the implemented solutions to gather feedback and identify areas for further improvement. Recommend enhancements and adjustments as needed

  • Collaborate with project managers to help define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Contribute to project planning and scheduling

What You'll Need

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for documentation, analysis, and presentations

  • Project Management Tools: Such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, or Asana for project planning and tracking

  • Diagramming Tools: Like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io for creating process flows, data flow diagrams, and system architectures

  • Requirements Management Tools: Such as IBM Rational DOORS, Jama Connect, or HP ALM for managing and tracking requirements

  • Data Analysis Tools: Like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or IBM Cognos for data visualization and analysis

  • Prototyping Tools: Including Axure RP, Balsamiq, or Sketch for creating wireframes and prototypes

  • Collaboration Tools: Such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Confluence for team communication and collaboration

  • Version Control Systems: Like Git, SVN, or Mercurial for managing changes to documentation and code

  • SQL and Database Tools: Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases, and familiarity with database management tools like SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL Workbench, or Oracle SQL Developer

  • UML Modeling Tools: Such as Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm, or Lucidchart for creating Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams

  • Screen Recording and Editing Tools: Such as Camtasia, Snagit, or OBS Studio for recording and editing software demonstrations and training videos

  • Business Process Modeling Tools: Like Bizagi Modeler, Signavio, or ARIS for modeling and analyzing business processes

  • Including IBM Watson Requirements Quality Assistant, ReqView, or Modern Requirements4DevOps for advanced requirement analysis and management such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics for analyzing website traffic and user behavior

  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, WebEx, or Microsoft Teams for remote collaboration

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
