The Position:

We are looking for passionate, driven candidates to help solve our client’s complex problems and guide them towards operational success. As a Federal Acquisition Specialist, you will work closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to support a re-negotiation of their Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. Censeo is looking for a highly skilled expert with deep Microsoft expertise to provide innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and work with the team to develop and implement the agency procurement policy/processes and provide consulting support to the acquisition team.

  • Collect and review details on VA’s existing Microsoft agreements and deployments, including VA’s future Microsoft technology requirements and priorities, viable non-Microsoft technology alternatives, and relevant Microsoft communications.

  • Analyze this information to establish a comprehensive understanding of what VA already owns and what VA requires to achieve its strategic priorities with the future Microsoft EA. 

  • Synthesize research to develop a Microsoft licensing strategy model reflecting an optimized, structured, potential agreement with Microsoft that supports the requirements identified during Research phase.

  • Conduct Cost Modeling, Benefits, and Risk Analyses associated with various Microsoft EA options, and integrate input from stakeholders.

  • Present the results of analyses to develop negotiation plans and strategies in preparation of the Microsoft EA recompete. 

  • Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to VA’s decision-makers during the Government’s recompete efforts for a follow-on Microsoft EA, including sample messaging, talking points, and recommended target audiences.

  • Provide ad hoc training based on current, available information for existing and planned Microsoft (MS) product versions, MS-generated reports, MS product roadmaps, licensing guides, decision kits, and relevant information for the purposes of assisting VA in developing plans, budgets, and procurement documents.

  • Applies knowledge of federal procurement principles, policies, procedures, and standards to implement programmatic requirements.

  • Ensures on-time completion of task deliverables and activities.

  • Delivers expert advisory support to government senior executives, program managers, CORs, and division managers regarding the acquisition lifecycle.

  • Performs on a team as an individual contributor with a proactive approach to project management.

  • BA /BS from an accredited university

  • 7+ years of experience with federal government acquisition management activities

  • Deep demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Microsoft solutions

  • (Strongly preferred) Professional certification (CPCM, CFCM, and/or DAWIA/FAC-C III)

  • Direct experience with federal acquisition processes and activities including development of acquisition documents such as statements of work, market research, and acquisition plans

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and acquisition streamlining initiatives and reforms

  • Excellent customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytic skills

  • Strong understanding of various acquisition approaches and ability to formulate analyses and create comprehensive documentation

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills

  • Ability to add value in semi-unstructured roles, working with diverse groups of stakeholders

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

    The Location:

    Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

    The Fine Print:

  • The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $170,000

  • Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs 

  • This is an exempt, full-time position

  • Essential Physical Functions

  • Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time

  • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
