Spectrum Government Affairs Analyst in Washington D.C., District Of Columbia
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting on federal government affairs initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The position will work closely with the Congressional, Policy and External Affairs teams to achieve policy goals. The position will report to a Vice President, Federal Affairs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Research, monitor, and track Congressional and Administration activities including legislation, executive actions, hearings, and events to educate key stakeholders on relevant legislation
Prepare reports on how changes to regulations or government policy may impact the organization
Assist in implementation of company-wide PAC strategy, including supporting execution of solicitation as well as budgeting and disbursement processes
Assist in compliance activities related to lobbying disclosure regulations and election law
Prepare and regularly track annual budget
Represent Charter at government, third-party, industry and political related events
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively meeting deadlines
Ability to think critically, demonstrate good judgement, is detail oriented, and has innovative problem-solving skills
Goal-oriented team player with desire to be part of a fun and dynamic team
Demonstrated research and writing skills
Demonstrated organizational capabilities
Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
2+ years experience in government affairs environment
Previous budgeting experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment
Travel as required
Exposure to moderate noise levels

The base pay for this position generally is between $60,400.00 and $96,800.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
