Position Summary:

The School Culture and Student Success Coordinator  (SCSC) at GGA is a professional educator or counselor who understands the diverse and changing needs of our female student population. Reporting to the Principal and working closely with coordinators, managers, and other leadership team members, the SCSC cultivates a climate of positivity, cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and belonging that empowers and propels our girls' global competence. The SCSC supports and guides the student culture as well as their experiential learning and college and career readiness, consistently demonstrating service, leadership, integrity, collaboration, and empathy, and promoting these core qualities in the students.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • School Culture Leadership:

  • Provide leadership for strategically establishing  and maintaining a positive, thriving school culture.

  • Implement restorative practices and positive behavior interventions.

  • Supervising attendance team, discipline, and teacher support.

  • Programmatic Support:

  • Develop professional development for schoolwide PBIS.

  • Lead and manage enrichment programs and community engagement initiatives.

  • Lead, manage and supervise multi -tier support systems teams including College and Career Readiness counselors, Advisory Program team, and school social worker

  • Community Engagement:

  • Promote GGA’s culture vision to stakeholders.

  • Build, maintain and foster relationships and support social-emotional development for staff and students

  • Promote common language for all sisterhood, scholarship, service, and safety initiatives

  • Operational Support:

  • Lead school-wide celebrations and wellness activities.

  • Use data to improve outcomes and manage logistics of events, providing support as needed.

  • Manage extracurricular activities during and/or after school.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching/counseling and leadership experience in an urban school community.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Exemplary listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong cultural competency skills and ability to communicate with diverse students and staff.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment and navigate complex situations.

  • Experience using data to make instructional decisions and coach others in data use.

  • Strategic planning skills with a focus on results.

  • Energetic, flexible, creative, and innovative with strengths-based, student-centered support plans.

  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and team player mentality.

  • Ability to partner with parents and community members.

  • Demonstrated passion for and commitment to GGA’s mission.

  • Expertise in youth development principles.
