WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:

Seeking a proactive Administrative Analyst with excellent communication, collaborative and problem-solving/analytical skills to support the General Counsel and OGC executive leadership team. The successful candidate will support OGC's research, development, documentation, analysis and implementation of a full range of strategic and operational matters of import to the General Counsel, including support of financial management documentation and processes, internal and external engagement data analytics and reporting, client engagement and calibration, general process design and improvement, and other administrative and analytical tasks as assigned.

The candidate will also support OGC’s administrative and clerical needs. Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and discretion, and the ability to interact seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve OGC operational objectives.

The work location for this exciting opportunity is hybrid. Candidates need to be in the DC area to come into our headquarters office in Washington DC with regularity, to support meetings and business needs

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

Assist in the management of operational projects, activities and processes as requested by OGC leadership including:

  • Prepare and organize agendas, materials, plans, and effective presentations to a variety of audiences as necessary, to communicate OGC strategies and initiatives, and for high level meetings

  • Research, analyze and generate reports and summaries, on a wide range of matters as required from time to time

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and analysis of metrics for OGC engagement with clients and business partners for reference and use in OGC operations, including development and presentation of data and information for a variety of audiences using PowerBi and similar data analytics tools

  • Proactively manage and maintain OGC internal and external digital sites and publications, including the sourcing and curating of content required for updates; management and maintenance of electronic filing system for General Counsel

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for reaching the General Counsel; support OGC collaboration with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, human resources, as needed, to achieve OGC operational objectives

  • Organize, fully provision and conduct interactive in-person and virtual meetings, including gathering documents and attending to meeting logistics, securing caterers, hotel accommodations and travel arrangements

  • Manage and proactively maintain professional scheduling and coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements for the General Counsel

  • Attend meetings and produce initial draft meeting notes and summaries as needed; draft, review and send responsive communications at the direction of the General Counsel;

  • Manage the purchase of departmental supplies and process invoices and expense reports for the department

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner and uses appropriate professional judgment to keep the General Counsel and leadership team advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up

++++++++++++++++++++ WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in business administration, communications, marketing or a related field)

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a business or administrative analyst or similar experience; experience in business administration, communications, or marketing a plus

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports

  • Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops

  • Advanced skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint technology, PowerBi, and other data analytics tools

  • Must have expert proficiency in the English language, including punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail

  • Must have excellent oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff including internal and external C-suite executives

  • Must be highly organized with the ability to plan, develop, and manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and work independently or with minimal supervision

  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

PAY INFORMATION:

The starting annual salary range for this position is $70K - $80K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. *We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.*

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
