Actalent Assistant Project Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Assistant Project Manager for the largest Owner's Rep firm in Washington, D.C. with federal construction experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our team for a full demolition and rebuild project at St. Elizabeth's located in Washington, D.C. This role involves coordinating quality assurance and quality control efforts, managing project scopes, and ensuring the constructability and continuity of design intent. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a GSA project that will require obtaining a GSA badge.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the QA/QC manager to ensure action is taken by the contractor on quality issues.

  • Report any major problems or deficiencies in plan action by the contractor to the Project Manager for further action.

  • Organize and manage zero-defect walkthroughs and punch list walkthroughs with the Architect, Contractors, etc., ensuring the process is managed from start to finish.

  • Understand project scopes, requirements, and responsibilities, and interpret drawings to defend against change orders or scope changes.

  • Evaluate construction drawings to ensure constructability and continuity of design intent.

Essential Skills

  • Project management

  • Construction management

  • Federal construction experience

  • Owner's Rep experience

  • Degree in AEC related field

  • Program management experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Historic preservation experience is preferred

Work Environment

The role will be based in the Arlington office, with some remote flexibility depending on project progress. Initially, the position will require being onsite. This opportunity is with a leading organization in engineering and construction services, offering long-term stability and growth potential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00
