Business Systems Analyst (Technical)

HOW A SYSTEMS ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Analyze Supply Management and Transportation contract historical data to develop new Predictive Analytics models that aid procurement teams in renewal planning and decision-making

  • Collaborate with procurement teams to develop and maintain Supply Management and Transportation dashboards, providing real-time data visualization and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Maintain and continuously improve the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of supply chain data and analytics to support informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Analyze databases to derive actionable insights for the business

  • Translate technical needs and requirements into high-level business language

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate with technical teams

  • Participate in writing and updating project documentation, including system procedures and training materials

  • Conduct functional testing of various systems

  • Participate in special projects as required

  • Work effectively in a cross-functional team to deliver value to customers

  • Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication with downstream stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience

Required Experience: 7-10 years of related experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist in supply chain management or a similar field.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with relational databases.

  • Experience in using scripting languages such as R or Python for predictive analytics and data manipulation.

  • Highly experienced in Excel and PowerQuery for data analysis and transformation.

  • Experience with Jira or VersionOne for writing user stories and managing projects.

  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding using Power BI or similar tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and market dynamics.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

● Location: Hybrid, On Customer Site 2 days a week and 3 remote

● Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
