The Building People Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM ) Engineer - Hybrid in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) Engineer.

  • Conducting facility surveys using the ANSI/BOMA Z65 measurement standard.

  • Assist in determining space requirements, equipment locations, construction costs, environmental constraints, encroachments, and other critical planning functions

  • Responsible for programs and upgrades for CAFM projects.

  • Responsible for the CAFM systems, dashboards, workflows, reports, and API interfacing

  • Streamline facilities management and maintenance, which can lead to greater efficiency and improved business performance.

  • Perform as a liaison among field activity personnel, move coordinators, office space points of contact, and customers by gathering, coordinating, validating and accurately tracking space allocation move management information using Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM)

  • Bachlor degree from an accredited school

  • 3 years in conducting facility surveys using the ANSI/BOMA Z65 measurement standards.

  • Expertise and knowledge of architecture, engineering, and construction; have expertise in reading and interpreting building construction drawings and in using laser measuring devices.

  • Expertise with CAD software skills and database management skills

  • Expertise in CAD, CAFM, CIFM technologies.

  • Expert knowledge of and experience interpreting and applying GSA PBS National Business Space Assignment Policy (current edition)

Preferred

  • Expertise in eSMART are highly desirable.

  • Prefer certification in CAFM

  • Familiarity with architecture, engineering and construction is preferred

  • 2+ years successfully working from home or remote location, with minimal supervision.

  • Operate within a NIST 800-171 compliant security environment internally and able to support all client-required cyber security data and operational processes. Value and protect company, colleague, and customer data.

  • Operate within a home office environment that provides adequate workspace and high-speed internet connectivity.
