ManTech Database Engineer/Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Engineer/Administrator I to join our team in the Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Database Engineer/Administrator is a junior-level position that involves designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the organization’s database systems, including hardware, software, and network components. Responsibilities are to implement and manage vendor or open-source database software; code and monitor database objects for optimal performance; provide day-to-day database administrations support as needed; extract and load data; set up cybersecurity measures; update hardware and software as needed; authenticate data; monitor the performance of hardware and software; configure servers and databases; preserve data integrity; ethically handle private data, such as financial and healthcare data; and troubleshoot and provide technical support to database system users. The Database Engineer/Administrator I takes direction from more senior personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development or related discipline. Experience working in an Agile development environment. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III Certification.

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as Oracle, Microsoft or AWS.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance and eligible for a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations .

For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
