GET, INC. & GET-NSA, LLC Enterprise Architect - Cyber / Mostly Remote in Washington, District Of Columbia

Security Clearance:

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.

THIS IS A MOSTLY-REMOTE POSITION WITH SOME TRAVEL.

In its majority, work will be performed remotely, from the employee's place of residence. Pre-planned travel to Amarillo, Texas, for on-site interaction, support, and training will be required up to 15% of the time.

Compensation Range: $155,000 - $190,000 / Year

Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is seeking qualified applicants for Enterprise Architect to join our mission as part of a cybersecurity team supporting a national security site belonging to the United States Department of Energy (DOE). This is a highly compensated, high-responsibility technical guidance position that is central to our mission's success. This is a full-time position as a GET employee with paid leave and benefits.

The Enterprise Architect facilitates and participates in programs supporting architecture governance, guidelines, and strategy. This individual is responsible for partnering with business units to align their goals and ensure IT can identify maturity gaps, communicate recommendations, and deliver standardized and scalable solutions. The Enterprise Architect develops and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs and develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Required abilities (as demonstrated by technical expertise and certification, where applicable):

  • Document and address information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle.

  • Ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with the organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.

  • Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders. Analyze user needs and requirements to plan architecture.

  • Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.

  • Define and document how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment.

  • Determine the security controls for the information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately.

  • Develop a system security context, a preliminary system security Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and define baseline system security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements.

  • Write detailed functional specifications that document the architecture development process.

  • Plan integration approach ensuring that enterprise components shall be aligned with modernization strategy.

  • Document how the implementation of a new system or new interface between systems impacts the current and target environment including but not limited to security posture.

  • Apply the methods, standards, and approaches for describing, analyzing, and documenting an organization's enterprise information technology (IT) architecture (e.g.,

  • Apply knowledge of Open Group Architecture Framework [TOGAF], Department of Defense Architecture Framework [DoDAF], Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework [FEAF]).

Required skills and experience (as demonstrated by technical expertise and certification, where applicable):

  • 10+ years of IT/cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years performing hands-on enterprise architecture development (directly relevant advanced degrees may be considered partly in lieu of direct experience).

  • Proven skill in engineering artifacts inclusive of architectures, functional decomp positions and definitions, and supporting preliminary and detailed design review documentation.

  • Proven skill in developing and maintaining business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs, as well as developing information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.
