BAE Systems Exchange/Mobility System Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Opportunity : Join BAE Systems Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy s Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching for an ON-SITE Exchange and Mobility Systems Administrator to support the Information Technology Operations Team.

The Role: We are searching for an on-site Exchange and Mobility Systems Administrator to support the Information Technology Operations Team. In this role, you will:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers, Blackberry servers and related infrastructure.

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the Exchange and Blackberry environment to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Exchange servers, email delivery, and user access.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Blackberry Servers, DISA Purebred, Blackberry apps, and Mobility devices.

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Skype/Microsoft Teams environment

  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for email and Blackberry systems.

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system upgrades.

  • Ensure the security and compliance of the Exchange and Mobility environment, including email encryption and data retention policies.

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on email-related issues and best practices.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Exchange and Mobility services with other systems and applications.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for Exchange and Mobility configurations, procedures, and policies.

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Microsoft Exchange and Mobility.

  • Use ticketing system to document requests, track changes, and explain resolutions

  • Maintain Exchange Servers, Mobility devices, and Blackberry Servers in accordance with System Security Policies and DISA STIGs

  • Install, configure, harden, patch, tune, and upgrade Windows Servers

  • Perform vulnerability scans and remediate findings

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Success in this position requires:

  • Extensive hands-on experience managing Microsoft Exchange 2016 and 2019 environments to include deployments, upgrades, patching, and hardening

  • Experience with Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Web, File and Print services

  • Experience hardening systems in accordance with DISA s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks

  • The ability to understand and remediate vulnerabilities identified by CTOs, IVAMs, DISA STIGS, ACAS, and evaluate STIG

  • Must be capable of working with engineering staff to diagnose and correct issues

  • Basic knowledge of Virtualization (VMWARE Preferred)

  • Ability to interact with and effectively present information to peers, management and customers

  • Understanding of email security protocols and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least four years of related/relevant work experience, or eight (8) years of experience as a Windows Administrator

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing.

  • A DoD 8570 IAT II certification

  • OR have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND meet the requirements for a DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 6 months of start date

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Additional experience and skills that will further contribute to your success include:

  • Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Blackberry UEM and Blackberry Enterprise Messaging Servers

  • Experience configuring and deploying Apple devices using Blackberry and DISA Purebred

  • Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate or similar certifications.

  • Active DoD Top-Secret security clearance

  • Experience working in a military-civilian military environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
