Insight Global Facilities Condition Assessor (Electrical) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for a Facility Condition Assessor to support a nationwide federal facilities contract set to run until end of June 2025. These individuals will be traveling to different federal facilities across the US, performing site walkthroughs, evaluating architectural /structural/civil/mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems to determine condition and remaining useful life. Once the site walkthroughs are completed, they will be entering data and completing comprehensive reports to submit back to the government customer. They will need to be technologically proficient and able to learn new software quickly in order to perform all job responsibilities.

The travel schedule is fairly rigorous and candidates must be willing to travel up to a week at a time, 1-2 times per month. Candidates will be receiving per diem adjusted to travel location and have all expenses fully reimbursed. When not traveling onsite, this will be a fully remote position but candidates must be able to work within Eastern/Central time zones.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in property/facility assessing or building surveying

  • Experience inspecting electrical systems and equipment

  • Strong communication skills; especially written

  • Deadline driven and able to balance multiple projects at once

  • Ability and willingness to travel for a week at a time, 1-2 times per month across the US

  • Clean background and ability to pass drug test - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture

  • Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer in Training (EIT) or Architecture License

  • Real Property Administrator (RPA), Certified Property Manager (CPM) or LEED Certifications

  • Experience with electrical system (wiring, circuitry, functional specifications) design null
