The Building People Facilities Projects Portfolio Manager (Top Secret Cleared) in Washington, District Of Columbia
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Facilities Projects Portfolio Manager with an active Top Secret Clearance. The Facilities Projects Portfolio Manager will have oversight over a team of construction, real estate, and management consulting professionals supporting a government organization. They will be involved in overseeing the collection of requirements and communication of those to construction managers, creation of strategic facilities plans, weighting and prioritization of projects, and overall ad hoc support in furtherance of the Government Facility Program's Goals.
This will include review of project documentation, technical assistance, mentoring, coaching, issue resolution, and career development. The Portfolio Manager will have responsibility over client relationships including with the Task order COR, communicating risks and issues and tracking to resolution, as well as resolving billing and contract related issues.
In addition to contract focused duties, this position will also have business development and marketing and branding responsibilities. This will include identification of opportunities, responding to RFIs and RFPs, organic business development, being a subject matter expert for other engagements, and mentoring junior staff on the business development process.
Qualifications and Education Required:
A CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET clearance
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience, including in program and financial management of construction and facilities projects and construction management oversight
The following skills/experience/qualifications are preferred for this role:
PMP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience in client facing role, contract communications, staffing discussions, and overall client management including at the executive level
Ability to effectively create and present information from project status to overall contractual risks and issues
Experience in team management, including coaching and mentoring, staff development, performance improvement plans, and resource loading
Experience in running a government contract including invoicing, LCAT management, proposal development and response, and FAR regulations
Prior experience with the government procurement process, business development, and federal proposal response requirements
