Robert Half Financial Business Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Financial Business Analyst position in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting and maintaining the Workday Adaptive Planning system, implementing accounting and financial tools, and liaising with internal teams. The position will also involve regular office visits as part of a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on all Workday Adaptive Planning areas.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot functions within Workday including Business Processes, Setups, and Integrations.

• Create and maintain advanced matrix and OfficeConnect Reports, as well as enhanced dashboards.

• Develop and maintain technical system documentation related to all financial processes and interfaces that impact the financial accounting and reporting systems.

• Build relationships with stakeholders, frequently interacting with leaders and cross-functional partners of varying technical abilities.

• Understand and communicate accounting and financial policies, procedures, and processes to the division, ensuring proper corporate accounting practices are followed.

• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance Workday Financials and related processes and reporting.

• Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides, and process flows.

• Continuously evaluate the system against the Workday roadmap, propose changes to business processes, and adapt technical solutions to solve business needs.

• Stay updated with industry best practices, Workday updates, and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and optimize performance.

• Train end-users in Workday Adaptive Planning as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Business Analyst role or similar capacity

• Proficient in Workday Planning and Adaptive Planning tools

• Demonstrated experience in handling Financial Modules

• Solid experience in developing Financial Models

• Proficient in Application Configuration

• Experience in implementing Process Automation

• Expertise in Business Process Engineering

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a team as well as independently

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field is preferred.
