VISTA Technology Services, Inc. IT Project Manager III in Washington, District Of Columbia
VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with a DoD Acquisition background, to support our NAVSEA customer in Washington, D.C. This is a hybrid position reporting onsite at the Washington Navy Yard one day a week and as needed for meetings. For this position, VISTA will only consider applicants with an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.Responsibilities:The IT Project Manager will translate larger program requirements and goals into well designed project plans and assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. They will convert broad program objectives into well-structured project plans and help the client create innovative solutions to solve dynamic issues.Manage 3+ projects at a time - including developing requirements, working with the government to document requirements, working with vendors, pushing gate reviews along, developing cost estimates with the team, etc.Work with the technical engineers to get technicals to the contracts team and help push through task award to vendorReview cost, coordinate the review of CDRLs, review invoices, and conduct project closeoutsInteract with senior level government and military personnelLeverage and accelerate the adoption of Agile project management methodologiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree AND 15 years of demonstrated experience in DoD Program Management and Acquisition Management for ACAT programs across the acquisition life cycle OR an Associate’s Degree AND 19 years of the above experience; 21+ years of the above experience will be considered in lieu of a degree3+ years of IT project management experienceExperience being responsible for multiple projects at a timeExperience in gathering, developing, and documenting government requirements for the development of RFPsExperience developing cost estimates, reviewing cost, and coordinating the review of CDRLs, invoice review, and conducting project closeoutsExperience working with vendors, technical engineers, and contracts teamExperience planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering IT projectsExperience migrating project management and business processes to AgileExperience developing program baselines and identifying program risksExperience interacting with high level government and military personnelKnowledge of technical concepts, best practices, and developing client solutionsAbility to work independently with minimal direction, and help lead a teamAbility to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across work-streamsProficient with MS Office (MS Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)Active DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired Qualifications:Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governanceKnowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance management to ensure that projects support appropriate risk standards and compliance requirementsKnowledge of vendor management to ensure that vendors, contracts, and Service Level Agreements are alignedProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA PM Practitioner or equivalentAdvanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), Agile Team Facilitation (ATF), Agile Coaching (ACC), Agile Coaching Expert (ICE), and/or SAFe Agile Scrum Master certificationSalary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 annuallyApplicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.For this position, VISTA will only consider applicants with an Active DoD Security Clearance.VISTA offers a strong compensation package and a competitive leave package.
