Manager, Professional Learning Systems

Full-Time Permanent Position

Top SKills:

  1. Technical Manager with current hands on experience working as a Technical Lead or Architect on complex IT projects

  • Ability to own and maintain product roadmaps & plan/track process against roadmaps

Job Duties

Manage, guide and mentor a team of 4 Technical Product Owners

Support some core IB professional learning applications like LMS/Moodle, LXP, EMS/Stova, IB

Question Bank etc.

Understand IB’s PL application portfolio and the ones under ECS team.

Act as a technical subject matter expert for PL systems and understand the business system requirements.

Work with multiple IT teams (software suppliers and IB-IT colleagues) to implement and maintain

applications/systems.

Own and maintain the products roadmap – plan and track progress against that.

Responsible for quality of the deliverables from suppliers and maintaining multiple backlogs, schedule software releases, and communicate changes.

Follow best practices and industry standards, recommend tools, and constantly improve processes

Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, escalate if needed.

Managing time resources effectively, delivering results to a high standard and taking responsibility for own actions

Working with the Head to develop and implement the IB's strategic plan to meet the medium and

long-term needs, mission, and values of the organization.

Ability to effectively present information to senior management, project teams, and user groups

Ability to travel to meet with teams domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

A bachelor level degree and/or equivalent professional qualification with extensive work experience

Proven experience working as a people manager

Excellent knowledge of and proven experience with multiple PL systems like LMS/LXP (e.g., Moodle,

Saba, Canopy) or EMS (e.g., CVENT, Stova) either as an advanced user or product owner.

Familiarity with ServiceNow and Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar Agile toolsets.

Track record in managing complex IT projects to successful conclusion.

Experience in working with business stakeholders, acting as business/IT liaison.

Practical experience with Salesforce or Microsoft technologies is a plus
