Qualifications

We are looking for a Microsoft Azure Data Architect to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain cloud analytic solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, creating, and testing cloud architectures, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards. You will also provide guidance and support to other cloud data engineers, report developers, data scientist, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cloud analytic solutions using Microsoft Azure services, Fabric workloads and broader technologies.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for security, compliance, scalability, reliability, and performance.

  • Document and communicate solution architectures to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Establish and refine frameworks and tools for solution delivery, such as guardrails, automated reviews, and accelerator creation.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to business areas, technology partners, and other domain experts.

  • Lead project delivery workstreams and teams.

  • Mentor and coach other cloud engineers and developers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • At least 10 years of experience in cloud computing, preferably with Microsoft Azure

  • Strong knowledge of Azure services and features, such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of Fabric workloads and features, such as Power BI, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Model, Data Factor, Data Flow, Notebooks, Data Activator, Reflex, Deployment Pipelines, Workspace, Apps, etc.

  • Proficient in cloud architecture design patterns and principles, such as microservices, serverless, etc.

  • Experience in cloud migration, integration, and deployment

  • Certification in Microsoft Azure, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer, Fabric Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Scientist, etc.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The estimated base salary for this job is $145,000 - $170,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $166,750 - $212,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
