ManTech Network Administrator/Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Administrator/Engineer to join our team in the Washington, DC. This position supports an extended service operation. You will have the option of three different shifts (Morning, Day or Afternoon/Evenings).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform as a contributor with knowledge and experience in supporting LANs, WANs, communications (VTC and VOIP), VPN, Remote Access and related software/hardware within a multiple classification and multi-platform operating environment.

  • Responsible for the integration of a network including assisting in the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the corporate LAN/WAN.

  • Current on most technological developments and applications and helps to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.

  • Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and support firewalls, routers, switches, proxies, VPN, DNS, email, and SD-WAN and cloud routing to include Cisco CSRs;

  • Optimize network performance to achieve the desired QoS and KPIs/Service Levels;

  • Proactively identify issues, monitor capacity / demand and recommend potential solutions

  • Monitor and trace network traffic across multiple boundaries to resolve faults;

  • Develop and implement network, VOIP and VTC change requests for firewalls, firewall policies, routing, switching, proxy services, VPN, remote access, DNS, mail, SD-WAN and public cloud service deployments (AWS and Azure).

  • Create and manage designs, test plans, RCAs, and AARs;

  • Create and maintain secure device configuration baselines;

  • Support incident response and project implementation with internal and external teams and third-party vendors;

  • Troubleshoot and fix any network device issue as well as support upgrades and/or net new network device or tooling implementations.

  • Use a variety of tools to monitor and manage the environment such as Cisco DNA, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, Riverbed, Fortinet and Xymon.

  • Provide after hours support as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 2+ years of network related experience

  • Demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting firewalls, routers, switches, proxies, VPN, DNS, email, and SD-WAN and cloud routing

  • Demonstrated experience optimizing networks

  • Demonstrated experience creating designs, test plans, RCAs, and AARs

  • Hands on experience using Cisco management and monitoring tools such as Cisco DNA, Prime, Firepower, ISE, etc.; Xymon or Fortinet tool suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with ServiceNow

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must obtain a Public Trust clearance; prefer Secret or TS active clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
