Insight Global Plant Operator Supervisor in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

Insight Global is currently hiring a Lab Technician in support of our government customer in Washington, DC. The candidate will need to be able to work with a wide degree of personnel technical levels; develop laboratory test methods; program laboratory equipment as necessary; develop, implement, and complete chemical studies to understand and document the chemical functions and interactions of process tanks; interpret and explain technical information into easily understood wording; provide project status reports; and other such requirements of wastewater pretreatment and/or chemical process plants as needed.

Be able to become aware of and familiar with, the safety and environmental requirements, compliance requirements, the relevant technologies and equipment of wastewater pretreatment and/or chemical process plants.

Be able to address problems, review, analyze and integrate the technical work of others.

Be able to perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.

Shall be knowledgeable in how to use Human--Machine Interface (HMI)/ SCADA software which operates the applicable portions of the Plant. This software is run on various computer(s) that are located in the Plant office and in the plants.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Shall be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

Skills and Requirements

A bachelor's degree including the techniques listed OR two (2) years with an associate degree of related laboratory experience including the following techniques:

  1. Thermal gravimetric analysis

  2. Ultra-Violet/Visible/Near infra-red spectroscopy

  3. Titration

  4. Statistical data processing

  5. Lab test reports

  6. Laboratory quality control methods null
