Teksouth is looking for a skilled and motivated Power Platform Developer to join our team. This role involves both advising on and actively participating in the architecture and hands-on development of applications, with a primary focus on Microsoft Power BI and the Power Platform. The ideal candidate should have in-depth experience with Power BI and be well-versed in SharePoint and Power Apps.

You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and analysis of user needs, transforming them into functional and cross-functional requirements. Additional responsibilities include creating documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for end users, and overseeing the complete lifecycle of application development, from analysis and coding to testing and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop applications utilizing Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.

• Use strong troubleshooting skills to address issues related to Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and SharePoint lists.

• Collaborate with customers to translate user stories and requirements into functional code.

• Participate in meetings, task groups, reviews, and collaborative environments to help deliver solutions.

• Identify critical dependencies, solve technical challenges, and implement new enhancements.

• Define and develop methods for system monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Share knowledge and work with other developers for continuous learning.

• Adhere to best practices for version control and development management of applications and dashboards.

• Review project deliverables for quality, completeness, and compliance with customer requirements and Teksouth standards.

• Engage stakeholders in prototyping to demonstrate solutions for complex business cases.

• Stay up to date with best practices, emerging technologies, and new approaches.

• Conduct training on Teksouth-developed products based on customer needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent technical training/experience.

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.

• Extensive experience in Power BI development.

• Experience with SharePoint as a developer or admin.

• Basic database development knowledge with at least one platform (e.g., Dataverse, MS Access, SQL).

• Strong MS Teams experience.

• Strong communication skills, customer-centric attitude, personal integrity, and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Navy/DoD Financial Management experience.

• Experience with ADVANA or Navy ERP.

• Building Model-Driven or Canvas Power Apps.

• Knowledge of at least one programming or query language (e.g., M, DAX, Power FX, SQL, VBA).

• Familiarity with Dataverse.

• Experience with Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows, or business process flows).

• Experience with business requirements gathering and analysis.

• Custom connectors for Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Knowledge of software development (ASP, .NET, Java).

• Familiarity with general web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Experience with Tableau/Qlik.

• An eye for clean, intuitive UI/UX design.
