The Georgetown University Center for Child Human Development (http://gucchd.georgetown.edu/) (GUCCHD) is dedicated to fostering a stronger society by promoting the wellbeing of ALL children, adults, and families and creating more inclusive communities. We execute this mission through research, training & technical assistance, scholarship, and thought leadership. Through its Early Childhood Division, the Center is home to the Nurture Connections Network and other Early Relational Health programs.

The Program Manager (PM) for the Early Relational Health (ERH) portfolio will provide leadership support on all the activities of the project including technical assistance, resource development, and visioning for dissemination of resources, engaging families and communities in growing the Network and working to advance policies on the local, state, and federal levels to support Early Relational Health and systems change. The Program Manger will lead the development and oversight of an annual budget of $1 million in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, provide oversight and direction for faculty, staff, subcontractors and consultants, and collaborate with the research and evaluation team on all related efforts. The Program Manager will represent the Early Relational Health program, GUCCHD, and the University in all meetings with our sponsors and other national partners and collaborators. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables, taking the lead in developing and delivering all required reports and applications associated with the work. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

ERH portfolio

  • Provide technical assistance including resource development, to families, communities, and other stakeholders on Early Relational Health.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to expand the Family Network Collaborative model, developing and overseeing the ERH website and social media, to include management of contractors.

  • Lead and convene meetings for the Steering Committee, Family Network, and a proposed national convening of the National Network, disseminating resources.

  • Oversee product development through overall strategy, visioning, and editing, serving as SME and participating in the Continuous Quality Improvement of the ERH work.

  • Support the Center’s Equity strategy and work, convening stakeholders when needed.

Program Management

  • Lead writing of required sponsor reports, co-developing and managing budgets.

  • Lead the weekly staff meetings.

  • Oversee the work of and deliverables from contractors and partner organizations, ensuring that all contracts are following University policies and practices.

Expansion and Development

  • Provide training and support around ERH to internal and external partners.

  • Support the Early Childhood Division by attending meetings and supporting the vision of the Division.

  • Respond to new proposals to ensure continued funding for the ERH team.

  • Serve as an Subject Matter Expert (SME) when asked by other TA centers or related initiatives.

  • Lead the vision and implementation of new opportunities.

Work InteractionsThe Program Manager will report to both the GUCCHD Administrator and the Principal Investigator, receiving programmatic direction and day to day guidance from the Principal Investigator. The Program Manager will represent the Early Relational Health portfolio, GUCCHD and Georgetown University nationally. The Program Manager will provide oversight for the Early Relational Health team and all contractors. The Program Manager will directly supervise the other administrative staff on the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in early childhood education, social work, public health or related field

  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience with Infant and Early Childhood systems and Early Relational Health expertise

  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexity

  • Experience with creating and executing budgets

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong commitment to health and racial equity and social justice

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$80,429.00 - $157,238.93

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
