Summary This notice is issued under direct-hire authority in response to the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022 for which NIST has a critical hiring need. Responsibilities The CHIPS Operations Office is looking for a Project Manager who is excited to work with a new, evolving team! As a new Project Manager on our team, you will: - Manage administrative work as assigned from Chief of Staff office related to organizational development. - Ensure projects meet deadlines and assess for possible barriers to project completion. - Keep management at multiple levels informed. - Collaborate with and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to complete compliance and reporting requirements on time. - Ensure all reports and forms undergo appropriate review and approval process. - Establish effective and efficient processes to advance the office and improve operational functions, including but not limited to cross- team collaboration, office culture, and overall organizational performance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENTS Applicants must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 (ZA-II at NIST) level. Specialized Experience is defined as experience coordinating projects across multiple teams; improving administrative processes to increase efficiency; AND managing multiple deadlines and coordinating other team members to ensure deadlines are met. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
