KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality, professional day-to-day execution of financial audit projects / engagements in line with firm risk management practices

  • Develop audit programs, working papers, and internal audit reports

  • Assist in preparing risk assessments and annual audit plans for clients

  • Review and evaluate financial business processes for controls related to Federal entities

  • Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner

  • Leverage data analytics capabilities to transfer raw data into answers incorporating emerging trends and initiatives

  • Help identify performance improvement opportunities for clients and lead client meeting and presentations

  • Leverage data analytics tools such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, and Qlik to assess data sets and draw insights and analysis

  • Help identify performance improvement opportunities for clients and lead client presentations

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience performing internal or external audits

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in business, accounting or finance field; CPA certification preferred

  • Demonstrated experience / knowledge in areas of: A-123, financial audit readiness, federal financial audit, enterprise risk, and federal financial management

  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements

  • U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government TS/SCI + poly security clearance
