WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for someone that has the creativity and strategic thinking to design a contracting approach for success across multiple product lines, customer bases, and industries. We operate in many different arenas at once, but our contracting philosophies shouldn’t be distinct for each arena. We want someone that has the vision and aptitude to make contracting strategy a comparative advantage for the American Red Cross. The right candidate will be able to design a comprehensive approach to contracting, influence the organization to have the right tools and systems for success, then manage a team to implement the plan and measure its impact. Responsible for establishing pricing for products and services, the contracting framework for various product and service offerings and the supporting tools, processes, and performance management necessary to maintain it. Works with various departments to evaluate the competition and trends. Review or formulate goals, objectives, and marketing strategy to develop optimum customer contract strategies and tactics for the products and services offerings from full service to product-only customer relationships. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

This role is not jumping through hoops and managing paperwork for rigid and complex government contracts.

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  1. Oversee development and execution of pricing for products and services based on market dynamics, product mix and volume considerations.

  2. Use data analysis skills to develop pricing strategy for core and specialty products/services in alignment with market segmentation, and sales objectives.

  3. Oversee development and execution of standard contract template based on varied product and service offerings to include standard terms and conditions, pricing framework, contract specification and requirements.

  4. Develop an efficient review and approval process and coordinates contract award and implementation.

  5. Analyze product cost, competition and pricing trends and recommends product and service pricing.

  6. Serve as the gatekeeper for the contracting approval and execution process.


Scope: people manager that interprets and administers policies, process, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate units.

Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The American Red Cross does not sponsor employment visas.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: 7 years of management experience.

Skills & Abilities: Ability to analyze, problem solve and clearly communicate observations and recommendations. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, collaborate and follow-up. Ability to handle high level escalations from all levels of management. Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout Red Cross locations

*Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).


PAY INFORMATION:

The starting annual salary range for this position is $135K - $170K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. *We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.*

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
