Job Description:

The Senior Director of Partner Network, Membership Sales, leads the prospecting, sales, and member onboarding activities of the Partner Network - generating $2.0MM+ in revenue annually. This position will target companies and organizations that provide products/services to the banking industry and strategically deliver opportunities for them to increase their presence to our bank members. This position is responsible for bottom-line results and customer satisfaction. The Senior Director starts the building blocks to profitable, long-term relationships with industry suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Membership Sales and Retention:Lead efforts to acquire new members, maximize membership retention, and ensure member satisfaction. Research and develop lists of potential Partner Network members. Continuously develop new ideas for recruitment and retention, crafting and closing sales with effective negotiation skills. 35%

  • Conduct Outreach and Develop Sales Plans:Perform outreach activities to attain membership goals, diligently tracking and measuring efforts to establish and develop connections. Create and implement sales plans to maximize sales and provide high-quality customer service to members, meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals.35%

  • Build and Strengthen Business Relationships:Establish and grow business relationships with companies and key industry providers in the financial services sector. Upsell client relationships and build long-term industry supplier relationships. Collaborate with key constituents to enhance the value proposition and support growth and satisfaction for industry providers. Understand financial services industry issues and link supplier companies to appropriate ABA business opportunities.15%

  • Network and Manage Administrative Responsibilities:Network at key industry events to leverage best practices, identify emerging trends, and discover new industry supplier prospects. Stay informed about macro trends impacting the industry and identify key thought leaders. Oversee administrative responsibilities, including pipeline management, contract management, and financial/budget management. Monitor financial performance and report to management in a timely manner. Clearly communicate marketing messages and priorities to support team effectiveness. 15%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field or commensurate experience

  • 10+ years of sales experience, membership sales, and trade association experience preferred

  • Formalized sales training/experience in the use of established sales methodologies

  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving sales targets (> over 1MM ) is required

  • Experience using CRM tools such as salesforce.com highly desired

  • Effective sales skills to generate revenue and demonstrate value

  • Ability to manage time effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent relationship building, communication, and collaboration skills, both in writing and orally

  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills

  • Strong financial aptitude required

  • Understanding of financial services technology and its impact on the industry preferred

  • Experience managing a budget preferred

  • Ability to travel (<20%)

Salary Band Range:

$90,069.00 - $122,708.00 - $155,348.00
