Red River Senior Network Engineer - Broadcom NetOps in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer specializing in Broadcom NetOps to join our dynamic team. This critical role demands a deep understanding of network engineering principles, combined with hands-on experience in design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex network environments. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability across our clients' networks through their expertise in network protocols, security measures, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain advanced network architectures leveraging Broadcom NetOps solutions.

  • Troubleshoot network issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate network systems with other IT infrastructure components.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of network systems to ensure adherence to security and performance standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

  • 8+ years of experience in network or system engineering, preferably within a DoD environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Broadcom NetOps technical environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (10+ years) in lieu of degree.

  • CCNA or equivalent certification.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat, Microsoft IIS, Jetty, or Wildfly.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Proficiency in MySQL, and familiarity with Vertica or PostgreSQL databases.

  • Deep knowledge of SNMP, HTTPS, REST, and packet captures.

  • Experience in scripting languages for automation purposes.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience with SDN/SDWAN technologies.

  • Proven track record in network operations, including monitoring and proactive issue resolution.

  • Ability to utilize network monitoring tools effectively to identify and mitigate potential issues.

Work Environment:

  • This position may require occasional travel (10%).
