ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Project Support Specialist - NASA Headquarters in Washington, District Of Columbia

ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Washington, D.C.

Job Description: Provide senior-level project support to the SMD Deputy Associate Administrator, Research (DAAR) and the Engagement Branch at NASA Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage shared calendars for SMD DAAR and the Engagement Branch management team ensuring that at least one person from the SMD DAAR and the Engagement Branch management team is in attendance. Prepare agendas, coordinate, and attend meetings as requested, take meeting notes and actions, and transcribe / summarize notes from meetings.

  • Prepare travel; prepare itineraries, process receipts and expenses for vouchers, and maintain travel records.

  • Prepare and route official NASA correspondence documents as per NASA standards and directives.

  • Maintain and update office electronic files and correspondent records.

  • Write/edit administrative communications; Compose professional communications/documents and respond to general correspondence. Act as final check point for all administrative communications that go outside of the directorate to ensure all correspondence meets standard requirements.

  • Provide customer facing assistance answering phone, greeting visitors, and escorting visitors to meeting locations.

  • Support the division event planning as needed.

  • Order and maintain office supply inventory.

  • Coordinate weekly activity reports from SMD DAAR and the Engagement Branch staff and distribute to management team weekly.

  • Utilize the Headquarters Action Tracking System (HATS) to assure all SMD DAAR and the Engagement Branch actions are actively addressed.

  • Support and develop Division and program milestone planning activities.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • On-site presence at-least three days per week.

  • Ability to quickly act to changing environments and communicate a clear direction to employees and customers with urgency.

  • A strong ability to make sound decisions quickly utilizing analysis, experience, and judgment.

  • Ability to learn quickly and think critically to create innovative solutions for customer and employee needs.

  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

  • Outstanding proactive customer service with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate customer needs by recognizing areas of opportunity and quickly provide solutions.

  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Some travel may be required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related professional experience or 8+ years of related professional experience in lieu of degree.

Pay Transparency Statement:

This posting is offering a pay range of $61,499 - $92,249 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
