Amazon Sr. Scriptwriter, Transportation Partner Experience in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

A good script can inspire, galvanize, and build trust. It can engage the disengaged and show how a challenge became an opportunity. Behind every one of these scripts, is a scriptwriter; an expert storyteller who is endlessly curious and creative. The Transportation Partner Experience Team (TPX) is in search of a dynamic, experienced writer to draft written content that bring to life various business narratives for our suite of global events and campaigns that serve both internal and external audiences.

Key job responsibilities

• Ghostwrite engaging short and long form scripts for senior Amazon leaders that bring the content strategy to life for an event or campaign.

• Polishes scripts, abstracts, and/or host remarks to improve overall storytelling and generate red threads between narratives (where applicable).

• Collaborates with creative teams and agencies on ideas to bring written concepts to life visually on screen and on stage.

• Manages dozens of stakeholders to understand business priorities and builds them into a holistic narrative

• Partners closely with event content strategist to ensure they understand the goals and messages of an event and how to leverage the script to bring those concepts to life in the most compelling way

• Consults with internal team members and stakeholders about best practices and ideas for how to approach complex narratives and story lines

About the team

The Transportation Partner Experience team builds innovative and engaging community-focused products for internal and external Amazon partners, including the Delivery Service Partner community. Small business are critical to many aspects of Amazon’s ecosystem and TPX helps these partners be successful by building communities that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and business owners who work in harmony with us to improve delivery flexibility, speed and reliability for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • A passion for writing and experience ghostwriting for senior leaders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
