Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services Supervisory Regulations Coordinator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Immediate Office of the Secretary, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Regulations Coordinator, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Immediate Office of the Secretary to optimize business results and customer experience to: Serves as the technical authority and expert advisor for the planning and interpreting of information for the Immediate Office of the Secretary concerning regulatory documents. Researches current regulatory issues and provides written analysis of findings to assist the Office of the Executive Secretary in determining options for action. Manages the development of the Department's Unified Agenda and Regulatory Plan, including managing an automated system for tracking the development of all Department regulations and significant guidance documents. Manages the reorganization process for the Department, particularly those that require Secretarial approval. Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance, both technical and administrative to staff. Plans work to be accomplished, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and assigns work based on priorities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing the following: Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting regulatory documents and preparing submissions, filing regulatory documents, and improvements as needed. Developing and writing memos, standing operating procedures, guidance documents or other materials relating to regulatory actions; Utilizing a range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative sufficient to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
