Participates in the analysis and development of integrated software solutions. Participates in gathering data to support recommendations to address problems. Duties and Responsibilities - Supports the development of implementations within the business partner’s portfolio by assisting with specific tasks as assigned.
- Works with more senior colleagues to learn how to ensure compliance of all equipment, policies, and/or personnel with relevant laws (e.g., National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Interagency Security Committee (ISC), Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Board Information Security Program (BISP) procedures, FedRamp, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance), and/or other guidelines as required. Participates in information gathering and tracking efforts to ensure FISMA compliance and assists with interpreting FISMA requirements.
- Shadows more senior colleagues who investigate and escalate technical errors, inefficient configurations/workflows, and business-oriented inefficiencies and provides continuous testing and troubleshooting.
- Supports the solutions delivery or technical team on the delivery and support of systems, applications, and associated integrations by performing routine tasks.
- Participates in communicating plans (action, operating, automation, strategic plans), options, approaches, and roadmaps to ensure continuous service and process improvement.
- Communicates with customers, staff, project team members, project sponsors and/or stakeholders to provide or gather project information.
- Gains experience in evaluating business requirements from clients, leadership, and end-users. Supports translation of business requirements into functionality through system configurations and/or code development. Participates in evaluating risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and business and technology priorities.
- Learns how to create documentation (e.g., development guides, use cases, road maps, workflow diagrams, mockups, test plans, Agile materials, process changes, application documentation, job aids) for maintenance and user instruction/guides.
- Shadows more senior staff to learn how to prepare senior management for representation at industry forums, meetings, and public speaking events including developing presentations, speeches, and talking points for use in briefings and meetings.
- Shadows others who develop organizational governance policies and standards.
- Participates in reporting on metrics and trends regarding services, processes, staff utilization, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains functional/system level test cases and generates, maintains, and tracks test results. Participates in user acceptance testing. Works in close partnership with project team to ensure code coverage of test automation, library upgrades, solution deployment, and security vulnerability management.
Skills: · Hands-on experience with adopting Agile and product management, preferably at scale and with relevant certifications. · Ability to apply systems thinking and perform product planning; ability to transformation abstract problems into roadmaps or plans; demonstrated experience in strategic planning, strategy execution, or project management. - Experience with implementing a Digital Transformation, ideally within the U.S. Government.
- Relevant Agile certifications and coursework, such as Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner, and/or Scaled Agile Framework certifications, such as Release Train Engineer.
- Change Management certification(s) from Prosci or equivalent industry leaders.
- Product Management certification(s).
- Experience identifying and mapping value streams, value stream optimization, and automation of flow metrics.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing US Government Technology mandates, such as NIST, FISMA, or cybersecurity requirements.
· Experience with drafting and complying with governance to support technology implementation and maintenance.
