Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
To assist in planning, developing and implementing quality systems to ensure plant parts meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for identifying and containing parts that do not meet quality standards due to defect, human error, etc.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods or stability samples.
Assist in analyzing processes for improvements, failure modes, stability and capability.
Perform visual inspections of finished products.
Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks or inventory forms.
Receive and inspect raw materials.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.
Complete miscellaneous reporting, administrative and other quality-related functions for the Quality Control Department.
Essential Skills
1 to 2 years of Quality Inspection experience.
1+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
Working knowledge of quality audit techniques.
Basic math ability.
General understanding and working knowledge of product design specifications functions and quality standards of finished products as well as parts/materials needed.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to work independently or as a team player.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to understand inspection standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced multicultural work environment.
Ability to be flexible in a constantly changing production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Two (2) years of Quality Control experience (education may substitute).
Experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, quality control methods and statistical process control (SPC).
Injection plastics and Urethane process experience a plus.
Previous exposure to a multicultural office environment a plus.
Work Environment
Standard automotive plant environment with PPE such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection required. Personal attire standards may apply. Ability to sit, walk or stand for extensive periods of time. May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds.
Day Shift: 7 am – 6 pm M-F (sometimes leaving at 4:30 pm, on rotation). Training can take anywhere from 30 – 90 days.
This is a temporary position with an opportunity for long term employment.
$14/hr in Washington, IN starting immediately!
