This role serves as Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to several business units within BGB including Kx Advisors, SCHEMA, Intelligence & Innovation, Product Development, and Growth among others. The role is primarily focused on the management of day-to-day HR activities and HR strategic initiatives along with operational duties, requiring a holistic approach to supporting both people and business needs. This multi-dimensional focus will in turn free up leadership to focus on business development and client interaction. This is a critical role for rapidly evolving new capability areas for BGB. Over time as BGB continues to grow and expand into new practice lines, this role may evolve, or it may shift to focus on additional new capability areas.

HR responsibilities

  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture by driving employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and communication strategies. Provide guidance and support to managers on employee engagement, morale, and retention strategies

  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, resolving conflicts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements and escalating to HR leadership when necessary

  • Support performance management process, partnering with managers on the development and delivery of clear, objective, and consistent performance reviews and feedback

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in the US and globally, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance

  • Conduct new hire check-ins and employee exit interviews providing feedback to leadership to enhance employee experiences and anticipate opportunities and/or challenges

  • Develop a deep understanding of the operational goals and challenges within assigned practice areas to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, partnering with stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance operational effectiveness

  • Support workforce planning initiatives, including succession planning and skill development programs

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to identify staffing gaps, provide financial rationale for approval, create job descriptions and drive onboarding

  • Utilize HR data and metrics to assess organizational health, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations for practice leads, highlighting key HR metrics and insights

  • Assist payroll management

Operational responsibilities

  • Gain understanding of the business focus and strategic direction of supported business units in order to serve as an advisor to leadership

  • Oversee daily operations (e.g. DC office management) in collaboration with Practice and Functional Leads as well as Business Leadership Team (BLT)

  • Execute upon tasks including managing practice-area leadership meetings and events, generating correspondence, maintaining electronic files, planning, and coordinating annual corporate meetings

  • Monitor SCHEMA and Kx P&L, coordinate with Finance on monthly reporting, and work with Account Leads to maintain NetSuite documentation

  • Develop and build on relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with Practice Leads on special projects

  • Serve as an extension of the executive leadership team for supported business units, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications

  • Serve as liaison between executive leadership to Functional Leads and Marketing Leads to facilitate connectivity with other parts of BGB Group

  • Act as leadership decision framer, project manager, change agent and internal navigator

  • Serve as leadership’s proxy/representative in routine internal meetings

  • Manage internal and external communications including deck development and internal announcements

  • Develop internal working session agendas, content and coordinate input from staff

  • Support the rollout of biannual and annual planning cycles

  • Oversee preparation of monthly business performance reporting cycles

  • Create new reports or business management systems as needed

  • Serve as liaison with Market Access and Consulting Practice Leads, Service and Client Leads regarding cultural alignment, growth initiatives, change management projects, and growth planning

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in an HR role

  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments

  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field

  • Experience in data analysis and budget management

  • Consulting experience, with a focus on operations management

  • Proven success in a project coordination role

  • Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions

  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications

  • Global HR Business Partner experience

  • Payroll experience

Salary range: $80,000-$120,000

The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
