Overview

The Vermont Department of Health (VDH) is seeking an individual with human service and grant management experience to join the Quality, Compliance and Clinical Services Team as a Substance Use Program Manager, currently based at the Department of Health in\ Waterbury, Vermont. This position will join a diverse and collaborative team working with programs receiving grant funds from the Division of Substance Use Programs (DSU). This position is responsible for performing oversight and monitoring of federal grants, subgrants and/or Memoranda of Understanding as well as supporting treatment organizations and assist with integration of grant funded programming with other substance use disorder and social services managed by DSU.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting. Some travel is necessary for which private means of transportation is required. Some evening or weekend work may be required. Incumbents frequently need to attend a variety of meetings with federal, state and local officials, legislators, advocacy groups, service providers, and others, occasionally under stressful conditions.
