Job Overview:

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of our plumbing and HVAC products from concept to market launch. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customer support teams to ensure our products meet customer needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the plumbing and HVAC industry, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in product management.

Job duties:

  1. Product Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision, purpose, core values, and leading principles.

  • Define product requirements and create detailed product specifications.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.

  • Develop business cases for new products and product enhancements that support energy efficiency, sustainability, and renewable energy transitions.

  1. Product Development:
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure product concepts meet customer needs and technical feasibility.

  • Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products that minimize energy consumption and support sustainable practices.

  • Ensure that products are easy to understand, easy to install, and easy to use.

  • Manage product testing and validation processes.

  1. Product Launch and Marketing:
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and product launch plans.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.

  • Conduct product training for sales and customer support teams, emphasizing our commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and support for builders and installers.

  • Highlight the comprehensive and integrated nature of our solutions.

  1. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries from internal teams and external customers.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and innovations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and partners, positioning the company as a preferred supplier and reliable partner.

  1. Product Performance and Analytics:
  • Monitor product performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Conduct regular product reviews and prepare reports for senior management.

  • Implement changes based on performance analysis to enhance product value and customer satisfaction while promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.

  • Embrace digital opportunities and embed artificial intelligence to optimize our business processes.

Requirements

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of work experience, preferably in the plumbing and HVAC industry.

  • Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems and technologies.

  • Proven ability to manage product lifecycles from concept to launch.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Proficiency in product management software and tools.

  • Experience with digital transformation and AI implementation is a plus.

  • Ability to travel up to 35%

Salary Description

$115,000 to $140,000 annually
