Trek Bicycle is looking to hire Wheels Assembly pros! Trek is a lifestyle bicycle brand which takes a different approach to manufacturing and its team. With no night shift operations and no weekend shifts, we understand the value of your time and the balance one needs in life. We service our customers with the highest level of care and approach our business with the same level of care.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Bicycle Wheel Assembler to join our production team. The assembler will be responsible for building and assembling bicycle wheels, ensuring precision, quality, and durability. This role involves working with different wheel components, including hubs, spokes, and rims, to create high-performance wheels for various types of bicycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble bicycle wheels from individual components (rims, hubs, and spokes) according to specifications.

  • Install and adjust hubs, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.

  • Tension and true spokes to create balanced, structurally sound wheels.

  • Inspect finished wheels for defects, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

  • Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to ensure wheels meet performance requirements.

  • Operate hand tools and machinery (spoke tensioners, wheel truing stands, etc.) safely and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production goals.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Assist with other tasks as needed within the production department.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Prior mechanical or assembly experience.

  • Previous experience working with hand tools.

  • Ability to communicate and get along with a diverse population

  • Mechanically inclined and proven problem-solving skills.

  • Present a strong customer service focus.

  • Ability to multitask and change focus as needed.

  • Knowledge of computers and technology a plus.

  • Dedication to get the job done.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand and use hands for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
