Twin City Die Castings Project Manager - PROJE001506-00001 in Watertown, South Dakota

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Summary As part of the Engineering team, the Project Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the development of new products, engineering change requests (ECRs), processes, and other die casting offerings. This position will lead risk assessments and the overall development stage of projects, create detailed project plans while proposing budgets, resource planning, and equipment needs, and manage tooling/process maintenance from PPAP approval to full production run.

Responsibilities * Project Management: Ensure on-time, on-rate, and on-budget delivery for New Product Development launches (NPD). * Teamwork: Develop, lead, and manage cross-functional teams and hold others accountable for deliverables to meet established objectives. * Product and Process Design: Identify manufacturing feasibility through the review of print specifications, models, and tooling/fixture designs. Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to transfer design specifications into robust parts and PFMEA risk analysis to identify critical parameters or characteristics. * Hand-Offs: Ensure successful and efficient NPD hand-off to the plant including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Successfully train machine operators on production process. * Communication: Communicate and track project status and open actions with customers. * Oversight: Oversee engineering projects, ECRs, and continuous improvement efforts. * Safety: Follow all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
