ITW Production Manager in Watertown, Wisconsin

The Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and maintaining the daily and weekly objectives to support the profitable operation of the business unit. This role will ensure that production goals are met, and the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained. The Production Manager will act as a continuous improvement champion and develop strategies to optimize production processes while leading and developing a dedicated team.

  • Collaboration with plant leadership in the development and management of monthly business unit financial statements to meet revenue and variable margin objectives.

  • Monitor and control production costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.

  • Create and foster a team focusing on total throughput and customer interface, as necessary.

  • Effectively lead and develop staff by establishing strong working relationships, evaluating performance, and coaching team members to develop their capabilities.

  • Lead problem-solving teams to address production issues and improve processes.

  • Act as a continuous improvement champion, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and implement innovative methods for completing work.

  • Maintain compliance with all ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OH&S Standards, ensuring quality and environmental management systems are upheld.

  • Oversee non-conforming product process, ensuring first-time quality and adherence to daily production schedules.

  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, employees, and all levels of management to address and resolve production-related issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years direct supervisory and 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably with a background in metal fastening.

  • Strong problem-solving and process analysis skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead problem-solving teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers, suppliers, employees, and all levels of management.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OH&S Standards, preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to extremes in temperature and noise.
