MaineGeneral Health Revenue Cycle Supervisor in Waterville, Maine

Job Summary:Are you an experienced, collaborative leader with a strong background in healthcare revenue cycle operations? MaineGeneral Health is seeking a hands-on Revenue Cycle Supervisor to oversee and support critical revenue cycle functions. This is not your typical supervisor role — you will lead a team while directly contributing to day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes and a high standard of service behind the scenes.

Job Description:

About the Role: In this working supervisor position, you’ll manage both your team and your individual workload, providing leadership and support while actively engaging in key revenue cycle processes. This role requires a blend of leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement, allowing you to drive efficiency and ensure optimal department performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Hands-On Experience: Lead and guide your team while engaging directly in the revenue cycle functions, from system support to process troubleshooting. This role requires balancing supervision with active involvement in daily operations.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance revenue integrity. Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and ensure best practices.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Regularly audit processes to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Resolve complex issues related to the revenue cycle, such as scheduling, insurance claims, and payment processing. Work with your team to identify solutions and remove obstacles.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue cycle metrics. Provide regular progress reports to leadership, highlighting team performance and goal achievements.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, financial, and administrative teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of revenue cycle functions across the organization.

What You Bring:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing and developing teams in a healthcare revenue cycle environment.

  • Revenue Cycle Expertise: Deep understanding of the revenue cycle process, including patient intake, coding, billing, and collections. Experience with IT systems related to these processes is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to assess issues quickly, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Comfort with tracking KPIs, analyzing data, and making informed decisions to improve operations.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
