Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops / maintains a personal skill level to support workload, identifies technical training needs and shares knowledge within the electrical department, sales, supporting engineering disciplines, and field service / construction personnel.

Defines and refines electrical system philosophy and procedures (i.e., standards, guidelines) as necessary to support market requirements.

Develops and coordinates estimates for proposals in accordance with established guidelines.

Ensures deliverables for contracts and proposals are successfully completed.

Contributes to proposal and contract-related meetings and assists with commissioning as required to deliver complete and working systems.

Provides input for, and assists in maintaining, estimating tools and guidelines.

Travel as required to meet proposal and project objectives (10 to 20%).

Required Education and Skills:

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.

Professional Engineering License preferred.

5+ years of experience in the Power Distribution design including Arc Flash, Short Circuit, Load flow and Protective Device Coordination studies.

Experience in cable, raceway, lighting, lightning protection, grounding, fire detection design and installation practices.

Experience vetting subcontractor and supplier designs.

Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and execute assignments with complex requirements and to conceptualize and analyze information to produce a complex system.

Proven time management and organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute in an environment with concurrent commitments.

Essential Physical Abilities:

Ability to travel 15-20% of the time to meet proposal and project objectives

Ability to stand or sit at a desk using a computer 80% of the time
