The Opportunity

Abbott is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in MDG Material Master and will oversee all MDG operations to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the SAP MDG system, ensuring a stable, reliable, and compliant environment. Monitor and improve incident management and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for MDG Material Master.

  • Collaborate with data governance team to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of MDG operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including projects with corporate ERP CoE, supply chain, shared services, and business units to ensure alignment and integration of MDG processes.

  • Generate and analyze reports on MDG performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required, master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

10 years’ experience in SAP or Master Data, with 5 years’ experience in SAP MDG.

MDG on Material Master is strongly preferred.

Previous experience in a managerial role is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SAP MDG, SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA . Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

Analytical Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Communication Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Leadership Skills:

Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals. Manage offshore team including IT partner’s team members.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
