PROHEALTH CARE INC ER Team Technician Memorial Hospital ED in WAUKESHA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We Are Hiring:ER Team Technician - Waukesha Memorial Hospital ED - .8 FTE (Nights) Schedule:8 hour night shift - 2300-0730, 4 nights/week, every other weekend and rotating holidays The Emergency Department is a fast pace, high acuity ED with 35 patient rooms. We are a Stroke Center, Chest Pain Accredited, and a Level 3 Trauma Center. The unit sees 40,000 plus patients annually (birth to end of life). In addition to providing emergency services to patients of all ages the department supports victims of sexual abuse with specially trained sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE). The ED has about 80 staff members - Nurses, Techs, and HUCs. What You Will Do: You will provide care to adults, older adults, children, and neonates with emergent medical conditions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Other responsibilities of our ER Team Technicians: Transport patients to various locations throughout the hospital Obtain vital signs and pulse oximetry readings Perform IV start for fluid therapy Collect and transport specimens Assist in the setup of equipment: arterial lines, chest tubes, nasogastric suction, airway management, capnography, external pacemaker and seizure pads Assist with C-spine immobilization What You Will Need: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred EMT Basic or higher / CNA at the time of hire May have 2 or more years ED or similar experience in place of EMTb certification Previous experience equivalent EMT basic / CNA Select candidates who meet Nurse Intern II requirements will also be considered Previous EMT and IV experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire *CA ProHealth Care, one of the largest employers in Waukesha County, offers work that is challenging and rewarding.
