The Position: Under the direction of the operation manager, the milling supervisor is responsible for an efficient milling personnel scheduling, overseeing milling equipment needs and repair, and reinforcement of continuous quality improvement in the areas of pulverized material gradations, milled surface uniformity and roadway ride quality. Responsibilities: Help manage the daily milling operations in assigned area(s) Monitor job planning and execution to maximize production, quality & safety goals Acts as safety leader for field operations Primary conductor and coach of the crews for success program and involved in foreman and crew evaluation processes Prioritizes and coordinates with repair shop manager, foreman, and mechanics on repair and maintenance of mills, pulverizers and related support equipment. Reviews repair methods, costs, etc. Train foremen and crew members using quality manual and training, adhering to best practices guidelines Understand, to an expert level, the machine operations and automation operations of milling equipment being utilized on jobs.
