JOB REQUIREMENTS: Waushara County Human Services Department Job Announcement: Grant Coordinator Position Level: J (Non-exempt, Part-time 50%) Position Overview: Waushara County Human Services is seeking a Grant Coordinator to support our efforts in addressing community needs and advancing the Department\'s priorities. The ideal candidate will help secure funding, develop collaborative programs, and support existing human services initiatives. This part-time (50%) position will offer opportunities to work closely with community partners, oversee grant projects, and contribute to the growth of essential human services programs. Major Responsibilities: Act as the liaison between the Department of Human Services and community organizations to address trends, prevention, and resource development. Coordinate and develop special contracts or grant programs that align with Department priorities. Manage and complete grant applications as assigned. Oversee assigned grant projects, ensuring proper fiscal oversight, program evaluation, and reporting. Support the Waushara Prevention Council, Inc. and other initiatives by assisting with event planning, attending meetings, and representing the Department at community events. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and continuing education opportunities. Research, develop, and identify new grant opportunities to support Human Services programs. Other duties as assigned by the Finance Supervisor, Director, or Deputy Director. Required Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in business, human services, or a related field (preferred). Demonstrated experience in program oversight, community engagement, and grant writing. Ongoing commitment to professional development in community collaboration, grant writing, data analysis, and public relations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of evidence-based programming and community trends, along with a strong understanding of services provided by Waushara County. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to research, plan, and implement funding options. Strong skills in community engagement, time management, and preparing grant applications. Proficient oral and written communication skills; experience with Microsoft Excel or similar programs is preferred. Ability to analyze and apply data to improve programs and services. Working Conditions: Travel: Travel required to community locations, with occasional flexible hours to meet educational or service requirements. Work Location: 80% of duties performed in-office; remainder in the community. Flexible work-from-home options available. Other Conditions: Requires maintaining valid driving license, transportation, and auto insurance. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.
