Job Description

We are seeking experienced Welder Fabricators to join our team. You will work on various product lines, including Mobile Asphalt Plants, Slipform Pavers, Landfill Compaction, Soil Compaction, Rotomill, and Cold Planers. This role involves developing and designing welding projects using blueprints and other data. You will fabricate metal objects by laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape or object. Additionally, you will use fabrication equipment to shape, size, and form materials, and perform tasks such as core bit drilling, using mag drills, punches, and grinding. This is a full build position that requires detailed work, constant inspection, and testing of welds and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design welding projects using blueprints and work plans.

• Fabricate metal objects by laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals.

• Use fabrication equipment to shape, size, and form materials.

• Perform core bit drilling, use mag drills, punches, and grinding.

• Inspect and test welds for durability and compliance with specified standards.

• Examine equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment are needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year MIG Welding experience.

• 1+ year Blue Print experience.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Experience with Laser or Brake Press is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment that can be hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. Teamwork is essential, as you will work with a partner or in multiples. The 1st shift runs from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with options for overtime before and after the shift and on Saturdays. Currently, there are 6 people in the shop, with plans to expand to 10-12.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00
