Natchez Trace Youth Academy is a highly-structured 115-bed cognitive behavioral program. We are located in the beautiful hills of Tennessee between two magnificent rivers, just 15 miles south of Waverly, Tennessee. Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking an experience Receptionist to work weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This role involves greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, handling inquires, and performing a variety of clerical tasks to support the organization's operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Office Suite, multi-line phone system, and strong customer service skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The Receptionist will follow strict access procedures prior to admitting visitors through the security gate. Upon admission, the Receptionist will assist in directing visitors to the appropriate person(s).

  • Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls.

  • Oversees the scheduled Sunday visitation of patients in accordance with established guidelines ensuring that guests are checked in properly and visitation timelines are adhered to.

  • Ensures the reception area is tidy and presentable, along with the adjoining conference/break room.

  • Receives deliveries from overnight carriers

  • Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor visitor logbook, issue visitor badges, etc.)

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.

    Experience:

  • Verifiable work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Hands-on experience with office equipment, e.g. copiers, printers, multi-line phone system

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

  • Excellent organizatioanl skills

  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills

  • Customer service attitude.
