Unison Behavioral Health Homeless Outreach Prevention Empowerment (HOPE) Coordinator - CPS - Ware BH/OATH in Waycross, Georgia

Location: Ware BH/Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless (OATH)

Hourly Rate: $18.70 - $20.89

Job Description: This position will support homeless individuals and entails community involvement, resource, and service linkage for clients served at the Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless. The HOPE Coordinator is responsible for collaboration/coordination of mental health and substance abuse services, acting as the liaison between clients, OATH and Unison Behavioral Health. Position is part of a 4-year grant.

Schedule: Will work Monday-Friday 40hrs/week.

Competencies: Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria. Knowledge of how client advocacy system operates. Knowledge of individual and group techniques. Knowledge of various therapeutic models and intervention as directly related to area of assignment. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Skills in writing, editing and presentation. Must have excellent spoken communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Skills in organization and planning, flexibility, and adaptability. Ability to create and manage activities. Ability to engage and establish relationships with clients, staff, and community. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, and Adobe Suite.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and three years of social service delivery to underserved populations OR associate degree in a social service delivery field and one year experience. Case management experience is a plus. Bachelors degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience working in MH or SUD services or related experience. Certified Peer Specialist or Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist eligibility preferred.
